lifting loops

Here at SafetyLiftinGear, we are constantly adding to our already-wide range of lifting equipment and accessories in order to provide our customers with a truly comprehensive choice of products to suit a variety of applications.

With this in mind, we have recently expanded our selection of lifting clutches to include a brand new range of threaded lifting loops, which are available in both Metric and RD thread in sizes ranging from 12-36mm.

These lifting loops are an ideal solution for lifting precast concrete units with all types of threaded lifting inserts, making them suitable for the secure lifting of beams, staircases, structural panels and more. For strength and safety, each lifting loop is manufactured from high-grade steel wire swaged onto a steel ferrule. The loops can even be reused in future operations, subject to passing a subsequent safety check in order to ensure that no damage has occurred during the previous lift.

Potential damage can be prevented by ensuring that the Safe Working Limit of the loop is sufficiently checked before placing your order, and once again before completing your desired application. This is included in the product description of each lifting loop, noted as 'SWL', and followed by the correct limit in kilograms.

lifting loop prices

Like all of the products we provide here at SafetyLiftinGear, our lifting loops are available at highly competitive and affordable prices, without compromising on safety and reliability. Prices for our lifting loops start from just £5.50, while the most expensive loops are priced at just £17.98 (with the ability to support loads of up to 6300kg)! We also offer quantity price breaks on your order, reducing overall costs even further for those who place bulk orders with us.

Heavy Duty Sack Trucks

Heavy Duty Sack Trucks

Sack trucks are ideal for manoeuvring goods around warehouses, construction sites, and other environments. Not only are they convenient - making heavy moving jobs as easy as a stroll around the supermarket - they're also great for preserving health and safety in the workplace. As described here, lifting and carrying heavy goods manually can be very dangerous, commonly resulting in injuries and long-term musculoskeletal disorders.

This is why it's good to keep a few heavy duty sack trucks handy for those times when carrying something by your own strength alone would put your body at risk. Here at SafetyLiftinGear.com, we have a wide range of heavy duty sack trucks available to buy and to hire - these trucks can be used to shift heavy loads in a wide range of different situations, so regardless of your requirements, we're confident that we've got you covered.

Working as a rigger in the live entertainment industry often means working at height. Whether they're setting up lighting rigs, building stage sets, or dismantling everything after the show has finished, event rigging professionals spend a lot of time far above the ground.

This means that height safety is naturally a very important consideration in this line of work. Riggers routinely rely on safety harnesses and other types of fall prevention equipment while working - after all, a single slip can result in severe injury or even death when you're that high up, so it's important to have these safety measures in place.

But it's not just the workers themselves who are at risk of falling. If you were to drop a tool - such as a spanner or a torch - from the top of a very tall lighting rig, the dropped item could well cause a lot of damage upon reaching the ground (especially if someone happened to be standing in its way).

How to prevent tools from falling

However, just as a rigger will usually wear a harness when working at height, there are products you can buy to protect your tools and equipment from falls as well. Here at SafetyLiftinGear, we stock a wide range of equipment lanyards that can be used to attach all kinds of different tools to your person when working at height.

Most of our equipment lanyards are compatible with a wide range of tools (such as spanners, hammers, screwdrivers, et cetera). However, some of the products in our tool lanyard range are specifically designed for one tool in particular:
Not only do our equipment lanyards make the workplace a safer environment for everyone, they are also very handy - it's very inconvenient when you're working at height and you have to stop and go down to fetch the spanner you just dropped!
