Warranty Policy

Before returning any item to SafetyLiftinGear for inspection by one of our engineers, please review our warranty policy below.

Should any of the goods we supply fail to perform satisfactorily, please send the goods to us (address below) so that one of our trained engineers can carry out a thorough inspection and examination. If we conclude that there is a valid warranty claim, we will carry out all necessary repairs and return the goods to you as soon as possible.

If a returned item is not under warranty, we will send you a written quotation for the repair works needed as a next step to resolve any issues raised. We are not liable for any loss of business that you experience due to a product failure.

Some of the goods we sell carry longer manufacturer’s warranties, and our guarantee is intended to give you additional piece of mind – not as a substitute for the manufacturer’s warranty.

To ensure that the warranty process goes as efficiently as possible, you will need to obtain an ‘Authorised Returns’ number, which will need to be present and on the front of the product upon return (failure to complete this action may result in the warranty claim not being processed). To obtain an ‘Authorised Returns’ number, please email warranty@safetyliftingear.com with a brief description of the issue and your order reference number.

Please note that, as stated above (and also in our Terms & Conditions), if a product is returned with a fault or issue that is not a manufacturing defect but damage caused by general misuse, wear and tear and/or overloading, this will not be covered under warranty and will be subject to an additional service charge as well as the carriage cost involved in sending the item(s) back.

Warranty Coverage Area & Carriage Charges

Our warranty coverage applies only to goods located within the United Kingdom. If your item is located outside of the UK, you will need to arrange for the return of the equipment to SafetyLiftinGear at your own cost. We are unable to cover carriage charges or arrange collections for items outside of our warranty coverage area.

If you are based within the UK and require us to arrange the return of goods, the following carriage charges will apply:

  • Small items (via DHL): £21.98 (excluding VAT)
  • Large items (pallet collection – mainland England): £60.00 (excluding VAT)
  • Collections from Scotland, the Scottish Highlands, and overseas locations may incur additional charges based on location. Please contact us for a quotation prior to arranging collection.

If your warranty claim is valid and the item is located within the UK coverage area, any applicable carriage charges will be credited back to you. This must be issued to us via an official invoice, once the inspection is complete and the warranty claim has been approved, we will arrange to credit this back.
