Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between a cam buckle and a ratchet lashing?
  • The main difference between a cam buckle and a ratchet lashing is that cam buckles are tightened by using your hand whereas ratchet lashing uses a ratchet to tighten a load. Using a cam buckle over a ratchet lashing give you the advantage of not being able to overtighten the load as ratchet lashings are typically used for securing heavier loads in place.

  • How do you tighten a cam buckle strap?
  • 1. Wrap the webbing strap around the item that needs to be tied down

    2. Press the lever to open the cam buckle strap

    3. Feed the webbing strap through the cam buckle to secure the load as needed

  • How do you release a load from a cam buckle strap?
  • 1. Press the cam buckle lever to release the tension that is placed on keeping the webbing strap in place.

    2. Pull out the webbing strap from the buckle to remove the load.
