SLG Lifting Equipment Used to Move Concrete Blocks

SLG Lifting Equipment Used to Move Concrete Blocks

24 tonne modular lifting beam

A customer recently got in touch with us to enquire about lifting equipment that could be used to move their 5-tonne concrete blocks. They needed lifting equipment that would allow them to move the blocks safely out of the manufacturing bay into the delivery vehicles, so they could be shipped out to customers. As you can imagine, concrete blocks weighing 5 tonnes need to be fully secure and moved carefully. We knew the perfect equipment for the job!

What we supplied:

6.7 tonne 4 leg chain sling (comes with safety hooks)

6-7 tonne chainsling with safety hooks

This 4 leg chain sling comes with safety hooks and is available in lengths of 2 - 10 metres (although custom lengths can be made on request). This chain sling is ideal for lifting heavy items because it provides multiple points of contact. The self-locking safety hooks provide ample support, while the legs of the chain can be adjusted to reach your desired length. Find out more about this 4 leg chain sling below.

Modulift CMOD24  - 24-tonne modular lifting frame

Modulift CMOD24

We created a custom 24-tonne modular lifting frame using 4 of our Modulift MOD24 spreader beams (shown above). Modular spreader beams are an ideal solution for most lifting requirements because they're versatile and cost-effective. In this scenario, 4 were used to ensure that every part of the concrete block was supported while it was in transit. Other configurations can be made depending on your lifting requirements.
