Despite already offering these various types of lifting sling, we are excited to announce that we now stock a NEW type of lifting sling; Single Use Lifting Slings! Also known as Single Trip Lifting Slings, One Way Lifting Slings and Disposable One Way Slings, our Single Use Slings do pretty much exactly what their name suggests. They are used to complete single lifting tasks and applications, providing a much more cost-effective solution than other types of slings.

Why use Single-Use Lifting Slings?

As we touched on above, these single-use webbing slings offer users a low-cost means of completing a variety of lifting tasks across numerous situations. They are designed to be attached or fitted to the load that is being lifted at the initial lifting operation and will then stay attached to the load throughout its journey, this may or may not include loading and unloading on multiple occasions, until the load has arrived at its final destination.

With these Single Use Slings, it is common to remove and then destroy them on completion of the lifting operation, particularly when they are used for more awkward loads, hence the name 'single-use'.

How are Single-Use Slings used?

Single Use Slings are usually used one of two ways; they can either be built into a structure at a specific location during the final manufacturing stages, ensuring the load will be evenly balanced whilst it's being lifted. Once the final lifting operation has been completed, the sling is left in situ. This method saves a great amount of time both during transportation and on-site as additional slings are not required, so compatibility issues are avoided.

The second way is usually the most common, where the Single Use Sling is simply wrapped around the load, securing it during transit and connected to a device. The sling will stay with the load throughout the entire operation until it is removed at the final destination.
