As we've seen before, it's very important to ensure that all loads are secure when transporting goods over any distance. It's impossible to estimate how much damage has been caused by unsecured loads falling from moving vehicles, but the vast majority of that damage could almost certainly have been prevented through the proper use of good-quality load restraint equipment.

From ratchet straps to load binders, we sell a variety of different load restraint products here at SafetyLiftinGear.com, but which solution is best-suited to your requirements? Today, we'd like to quickly introduce you to a few of our most popular load restraint options and explain where they might come in handy:

Ratchet Lashing Straps

These hard-wearing lashing straps are our most popular load restraint products. Consisting of a length of polyester webbing with a sturdy ratchet mechanism, they are suitable for securing a broad variety of different loads.

Cam Buckle Straps

Cam buckle straps are similar to ratchet lashing straps - they just have a cam buckle instead of the ratchet design. Our cam buckle products cost less than the ratchet straps, and they can sometimes be a better choice if you are transporting fragile / delicate goods.

Load Binder Kits

Load binders are a heavy-duty load restraint solution that use chains rather than polyester webbing to hold goods in place. Our load binder kits are ideal for transporting large machinery and other heavy items (if you don't wish to buy a full kit, you can purchase the load binder components individually here).

Ratcheting Cargo Bars

If you're transporting goods using a pick-up truck or similar vehicle, a cargo bar can act as a barrier to stop things sliding off the truck's load bed. Our ratcheting cargo bars can be adjusted, allowing them to fit a wide variety of different vehicles.

We sell a number of other load restraint products here at SafetyLiftinGear, including bungee cords and polypropylene rope. Please click here to browse our full range, or give us a call on 0808 123 69 69 if you're still not sure which type of load restraint equipment would best suit your needs.

Forklifts have numerous uses in all kinds of different working environments. They're great for lifting, lowering, and transporting large goods; if you've got a forklift access platform, they can even help you and your workers to access high-up, hard-to-reach places and safely complete a variety of different tasks.

Sometimes, though, forklifts need a little extra help to get the job done properly. Here at SafetyLiftinGear, we stock an extensive range of forklift attachments and extensions to buy or hire - these assorted items are great for carrying out specialised tasks with your forklift, or simply enabling your truck to handle larger/longer loads.

Fork Extensions

Our high-quality fork extensions for forklift trucks come in a range of different lengths to give you that bit of extra reach you need to keep longer pallets and other large loads under control. Browse forklift extensions >

Other Forklift Attachments

Our other forklift attachments include swivel hooks (which turn your forklift into something like a miniature crane) and mounted jibs (which help your forklift truck to cope with heavier loads). Browse forklift attachments >

Visit our Site Lifting & Handling page for more lifting/handling solutions - practically all of our products are now available both to buy and to hire.

We sell a wide variety of safety harnesses here at SafetyLiftinGear, many of which are specifically designed for one particular scenario or line of work.

Perhaps our best-selling specialist harness range is our collection of hi-vis harnesses, and with autumn and winter just around the corner, we're expecting a huge influx of high-visibility sales over the next few months. Visibility is naturally worse during the colder months, when the weather gets worse and the mornings and evenings grow darker, and in these conditions being seen is often just as important a safety concern as protecting oneself from falls.

Our high-visibility safety harnesses are great because they cover both bases. Not only do they help to prevent accidents while working at height, they also increase the wearer's visibility, which is crucial in certain conditions and working environments. Here are a few examples of what we can supply...
  • 2-Point Hi-Vis Safety Harness: Available in yellow or orange.

  • Quick Release Hi-Vis Harness: Easier to put on and take off! Buy/hire here.
