Dont miss the chance to go and view The Bloodhound SSC

Here at SafetyLiftinGear we are very proud to have supplied safety equipment to the Bloodhound SSC Project. For those who are not aware, the Bloodhound project has been created by Richard Noble OBE and Andy Green, the current Land Speed Record Holder. The Bloodhound project hopes to inspire young people to consider a career in science, mathematical and engineering fields, as well as to break the current land speed record of 763.035mph which was set by Andy Green back in 2007.

The Bloodhound SSC is designed to reach speeds of 1000mph and is currently 95% complete and available for public viewing on Thursday 29th October at the Technical Centre in Bristol.

Some of the side panels will be removed so you can see the truly amazing Rolls-Royce EJ200 Jet engine and the super charged Jaguar V8 Engine.

Alongside the Bloodhound SSC there are other exhibits in the technical centre. So If you are looking for something unique to do with your children this half term we are certain you will love this exhibit.

Chain hoist

Our matte black chain hoists are designed specifically for event rigging, available in 500kg or 1 tonne, our event rigging chain hoist is lightweight, compact, asbestos free, and has a grade 80 load chain. Available in 3mtrs to 30mtrs, fully tested and certified and come with a 24 month warranty. Using our chain hoists for rigging your events is really a no brainer.

Beam Clamps

Our adjustable beam clamps are capable of supporting extremely heavy loads; maximum weight capacity from 1 tonne through to 10 tonnes. Adjusting to widths of 70 – 245mm, they are available fully certified and are ideal to be used with our event rigging chain hoists. Our beam clamps are also available in black ensuring that they are not seen by the audience while your show is in full swing.

If you need a beam clamp with a high capacity than 2 tonnes please get in contact with us to discuss your bespoke requirements.

Black Round Slings

Our Black Round slings are capable of supporting loads up to 2 tonnes. Available in a seamless tightly woven heavy duty black polyester sleeve this round sling is sure to remain hidden throughout your event. Available in a variety of lengths from 0.5 meters to 4 meters, our event rigging round slings are ideal if you need to lift heavy and fragile equipment.

If you need a longer round sling or a round sling with a larger capacity, please contact us.

Product Spotlight: Fall Arrest Retrieval and Tripod Kit

SafetyLiftinGears Fall Arrest Retrieval Winch and Tripod kits are trusted by many companies nationwide. So if you are looking for a lightweight, fully adjustable Tripod with multiple attach points for your fall arrest block then look no further!

Our 15mtr fall arrest retrieval winch and tripod are one of our best-selling fall arrest kits here at SafetyLiftinGear.

Fall Arrest Kits are essential for people who are working in confined spaces, as they help people enter and exit the confined space safely and easily. Our G-force CRW200 Fall Arrest Retrieval Winch operates as a standard fall arrest block but has an integral winch which is easy to function, so should the user slip or fall when are in a confined space, they can be winched up or lowered to a safe place, without delay. With a length of 15 meters, deep confined spaces will not be a problem to reach.

Our G-Force TM9 Tripod is fully adjustable for a height between 130cm and 230cm, and has multiple attachment points for your fall arrest block. So entering or exiting extremely deep confined spaces is no problem. Our tripod is constructed out of aluminium making it extremely lightweight, so you can transport your tripod with you wherever you are working. The G-force TW9 also has additional chains around the bottom of the tripod so you can be confident that your tripod will not slip out of position.

We also stock storage bags for your TM9 tripod and the recommended G-force 910R Rescue Harness.
