Ergodyne work gear

A few weeks back, we introduced you to our new range of tool lanyards from Ergodyne, a Minnesota company renowned for their "tenacious work gear". These lanyards proved very popular indeed, and so it gives us great pleasure to announce that we've just added a whole range of additional Ergodyne products to our Height Safety department!

Here's a quick run-down of our newest additions:
  • Tie hooks. These are available in small, medium, and large sizes, as well as in a 'double belt' format (medium or large). Ergodyne tie hooks are ideal for storing and organising cables, hoses and cords, as seen in this video:

  • Tool Tails™. If you're looking for an easy way to attach your tools to your belt whilst working, Tool Tails™ are perfect for the job. They can be used to attach a wide variety of tools and other items; choose from our elastic loop Tool Tails™ and our ultra-strength web Tool Tails™.

  • Cold shrink traps. Ergodyne's cold shrink traps should be used alongside the Tool Tails™ to trap the tail and keep it secure while in use. If you'd like to see how the cold shrink traps work, watch this video:

  • Heat tape. This is another method of trapping your Tool Tails™, providing additional security and grip while in use. Here's another video that demonstrates how to use the Ergodyne heat tape trap:

Ratchet lashing strap

SafetyLiftinGear's ratchet lashing straps are widely used by numerous transport companies in the UK and beyond. Rest assured that, if you're transporting a heavy load and you want to make sure it stays put, we can provide the perfect solution.

Why are ratchet straps so important?

Because failure to restrain the load(s) you're transporting can have grave consequences. We've seen many photos of heavy loads that came loose in transit because weren't properly restrained; this results in damaged goods and, worse still, road accidents. According to gov.uk, unrestrained objects falling from vehicles caused a total of 22,000 road impact incidents in Britain over the course of 2013.

Simply put, our ratchet lashing straps help to protect your cargo and minimise the likelihood of an accident while you're on the road. They're an extremely important safety consideration!

What ratchet straps do SafetyLiftinGear offer?

Our Load Restraint department is home to more than a dozen different ratchet lashing products, all of which are fully tested and certified before sale. Some of these products are supplied with claw hooks, rave hooks or chassis hooks; others are endless. All are made of high-strength polyester webbing, ensuring superb performance across the board.

It's important to always heed the MBS (Minimum Breaking Strength) of the ratchet straps you purchase - this figure represents the weight capacity of the strap, and should not be exceeded under any circumstances. The MBS of our ratchet lashing straps ranges from 500kg to 10 tonnes.

Do SafetyLiftinGear sell any accessories for my ratchet lashing straps?

Yes - we provide wear sleeves and corner protectors to help you protect your ratchet straps and extend their lifespan.

How do I use a SafetyLiftinGear ratchet strap?

Our ratchet lashing straps are very easy to use, as this video demonstrates:

Lifting equipment

We sell a huge range of lifting equipment here at SafetyLiftinGear - after all, we didn't choose our name for nothing!

It can be quite difficult to navigate a product list that's several hundred items long, so rather than leaving you to scour our extensive collection on your own, we thought we'd put our most popular lifting products right here to make your life a little easier. Here are five of the best-selling product ranges from our Lifting Equipment department:

Polyester Webbing Sling

Polyester Webbing Slings

As far as lifting equipment is concerned, these sturdy lifting slings are our top sellers by quite some distance. Polyester webbing is a tough yet lightweight material that's ideal for all sorts of heavy lifting tasks; our slings are also very shock-absorbent, minimising the risk of damage.

Chainblocks

Chainblocks

Our block and tackle section is full of robust, reliable chainblocks that make heavy lifting a quick, easy, and - above all - safe endeavour. Maximum weight capacity ranges from 500kg to 7.5 tonnes.

Beam Trolley

Beam Trolleys

SafetyLiftinGear's beam trolleys are fully adjustable, allowing you to use them with practically any beam. Many of these products come with a 2 year warranty as standard, so you know that you're getting outstanding quality for your cash!

Polyester Round Sling

Polyester Round Slings

While not quite as popular as the webbing slings (see above), our polyester round slings still sell very well, and no wonder - these high-endurance lifting slings are strong, versatile, and can lift loads of up to 30 tonnes in some cases!

Leverhoists

Lever Hoists

Last but not least is SLG's world-class collection of lever hoists. Said collection is very versatile indeed; whether you need a heavy-duty lifting solution or something lightweight and cost-effective that gets the job done at the lowest cost possible, our Lever Hoist department has something to suit you!
