As our name suggests, we at SafetyLiftinGear have a great reputation for top-quality lifting gear, and we get a huge number of enquiries every day from professionals seeking robust, reliable lifting equipment for their projects.

The thing is, a lot of those customers aren't interesting in purchasing our products outright; instead, they're simply looking to hire the lifting gear required for the task at hand. We are more than happy to accommodate these orders, and as you browse our Lifting Equipment department, you'll notice that almost all of the products contained therein are available to hire as well as to buy.

Here are some examples of the lifting gear we hire to our customers:

Polyester Lifting Slings

High-endurance slings for a variety of heavy lifting jobs. We supply both round slings (weight load limits range from 1 tonne to 50 tonnes) and webbing slings (1 tonne to 20 tonnes).

Chain Slings

Our heavy-duty chain slings come in 1 leg, 2 leg and 4 leg versions. Hooks are included.

Wire Rope Hoists

These electric hoists are ideal for a wide assortment of lifting and rigging jobs. We offer both 110V and 240V hoists to suit your requirements, as well as our award-winning battery-powered hoist.

Chain Blocks & Lever Hoists

Alternatively, if you're looking for a hoist that doesn't run on electricity, we strongly recommend our Elephant Hoists range. Made in Japan, these ultra-strong hoists are capable of lifting weights of up to 5 tonnes (please note that weight load limit varies between products).

SafetyLiftinGear's Equipment Hire Service

If you're a regular visitor to the SafetyLiftinGear website, you may have noticed a new feature on our product pages.

That's right - our vast range of lifting equipment and safety gear is now available to hire as well as to buy! This is great news if:

Your current brief requires a specific piece of equipment that you're unlikely to use again
Your project's budget does not allow you to purchase the necessary equipment outright
You don't have room to store your work equipment long-term

We get a lot of enquiries from people looking to hire our products, and so, to make our equipment hire service as straightforward and as accessible as possible, SafetyLiftinGear customers can now specify products and request an equipment hire quotation through our website. Here's what to do:

Find the product you wish to hire. Try starting in our Lifting Equipment department, or perhaps our Height Safety section.
Instead of clicking 'Add to Basket' on the product page, click 'Hire Me' instead. This will add the item to your Hire Basket, which is separate from the normal shopping basket.
Go back to step 1 and repeat until all the products you need are in your Hire Basket.
Once you've found everything you need, go to the Basket page and check that everything's present and correct.
Click the 'Enquire' button and enter your details on the enquiry form.
Click 'Proceed' to send your request to the SLG team.

Once we've received your equipment hire enquiry, we'll get back to you ASAP with a quotation. After that, you'll be able to collect the specified equipment at your nearest SafetyLiftinGear depot - we have locations in Bristol, Bridgwater, Cardiff, Leeds, and both East and West London, so no matter where you're based, you shouldn't have too far to travel!

SafetyLiftinGear: Now Mobile-Friendly!

Big news: the SafetyLiftinGear website has had a makeover! Our design has been updated, which we hope will make it easier for you to find and purchase the equipment you need, but more importantly, SafetyLiftinGear.com is now fully responsive!

This means that our website now 'responds' to the screen on which you're viewing it. If you're using a smartphone, for example, we now look like this:

This new functionality should make it significantly easier for mobile and tablet users to browse our range and place orders online. You can still shop in three different currencies (GBP, EUR or AED), and you've still got hundreds of different items to choose from - we've just made it a bit simpler for those viewing the site on small, touch-activated screens.

The other major change is the addition of a 'Hire' option. Most of our gear is now available to hire as well as to buy; this means that, when you're looking at a product on our website, you may well see this underneath the usual 'Add to Basket' button:

Clicking the 'Hire Me' button will add the product in question to your 'Hire Basket'. This new feature allows you to select as many products as you like for hire, then send an enquiry to the SafetyLifitnGear team, who will respond with a price quotation as quickly as we can.
