Heathrow Decorate for Christmas With SLG Lifting Gear

In the run up to Christmas, Heathrow Airport uploaded this lovely time-lapse video, which shows the step by step process of their Christmas vision coming to life! From hanging orbs to giant Christmas trees, this video reveals how the team behind these beautiful decorations put everything together, to create a wonderful display for the holiday season.

Having watched the video, you will have noticed that this scale of Christmas decorating requires a lot more than your standard step ladder to put a plan into action! A large scale operation such as this requires a whole host of equipment to achieve the desired result, and we are proud to say that the lifting gear in this video was in fact, provided by our West London depot!

From the LoadSurfer material lift to pallet trucks and safety harnesses, SafetyLiftinGear supplied a range of items for the project, in order to help the team at Heathrow put their display together safely. It's great to be able to put our name to such an incredible project, and we are also very pleased to be able to share a more light-hearted safety gear story with you!

Christmas 2015 Opening Times

May we take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year and we look forward to continuing business with you in 2016.

Please be advised that our last day for sending next day items by courier will be Wednesday 23nd December for delivery on the Thursday 24th. If goods are not despatched on the 23nd they will not be sent until 4th January 2016.

Our last working day before Christmas will be the Thursday 24th December, however we will be closing at 1pm . We will be closed over the holiday period but will re-open on Tuesday 29th December.

Please note ONLY Bristol Head Office will be open between the 29th and 31st December, our other depots (Bridgwater, Cardiff, London (East), London (West) & Leeds) all close on the 24th December and don't re-open until the 4th January 2016.

BLOODHOUND Rocket Car Workshops: A Great Activity for the Christmas Holidays!

The BLOODHOUND team have nearly completed the build of the BLOODHOUND SSC, a supersonic car that is designed to break the 1,000 mile per hour barrier. Throughout the project, the team have been hosting various events and engaging with schools with the aim of getting children inspired to become the next generation of scientists, mathematicians and engineers. It is for this reason that SafetyLiftinGear are proud to be partners with BLOODHOUND Project - we are their official suppliers of lifting and handling products.

Over Christmas, the BLOODHOUND team will be hosting educational and fun workshops at The Technical Centre in Bristol. You and your children will learn about the science behind building a jet- and rocket-powered race car, tour the supersonic car itself, and if that's not enough, you can also take part in a workshop wherein you and your children can build and race your own rocket car.

Earlier this year, we announced that we were planning on opening a new SafetyLiftinGear depot in West London. We are now proud to announce that our new West London Depot is now open, and ready to trade.

Last year safety lifting gear took its first steps into expansion with the opening of depots in Bridgewater, London, Leeds and Cardiff. This year we have continued to expand, opening a new safety lifting gear depot in West Drayton.

Our West Drayton Depot is a 5 minute drive from ideally located for our customers, old and new, from Slough, West London, and the surrounding areas to come and take advantage of our tool repair and hire service, or to purchase our full range of products.

This new depot opening brings the company’s UK footprint to 6 depots and trade counters, including our head offices located in Bristol. No matter which Depot you visit, you can expect a warm welcome, second -to-none expert advice, and excellent customer service.

This year we also expanded into lifting equipment hire. A new service created, so our customers could rent our products instead of purchasing them. This service has proven to be hugely popular with our customers and so now our entire range is now available to hire. You are now able to hire lifting equipment from our website or at one of our 6 trade counters around the UK.
