Just last week, we announced a new collection of 3M safety products that were available to order online from SLG, that included a range of high-quality safety harnesses, rescue lines, lanyards and anchors.

Wind turbine safety 

Working with wind turbines can be very dangerous work. Maintaining and repairing them requires specialised training as well as a heap load of courage as a result of the incredible heights in which you are required to work at. The turbines on a wind farm are typically in excess of 250ft tall, so it's vitally important that all workers not only know what they are doing but are ensuring they are as protected as possible, using the correct height safety equipment to keep themselves and others they may be working with safe at all times.

3M Wind Energy Positioning Climbing Harness with Belt

The 3M™ DBI-SALA® ExoFit NEX™ Wind Energy Harness is a comfortable and durable safety harness that comes with a convenient and comfortable work-positioning belt and features water-repellent webbing helping to keep the harness dry and to reduce the attraction of mould and dirt.  Impact indicators make it simple to check the harness for damage and help ensure it’s safe to use as well as a built-in radio holster, replaceable lumbar protectors, and a protective hip pad that prevents wear while climbing up and down the tower.
