SafetyLiftinGear is growing, and we’re looking for skilled, motivated Lifting Equipment Engineers to join our teams in Bristol, West Drayton & Glasgow.

About the Role
As a Lifting Equipment Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our customers safe and compliant. Your work will be split between our depot workshops and customer sites, giving you real variety and exposure to a wide range of industries and equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting, repairing, and testing lifting equipment
- Working with materials handling, electrical, and fall protection equipment
- Carrying out LOLER-style inspections and producing accurate reports
- Attending customer sites as well as supporting depot operations
- Assisting with local deliveries when required
No two days are the same – one day you might be fault-finding in the workshop, the next supporting a customer on-site with critical lifting equipment.
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from engineers who are practical, detail-focused, and customer-minded.
You’ll ideally have:
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Experience in fault-finding and equipment repairs
- A professional, customer-focused attitude with good communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail for inspections and reporting
- A LEEA qualification (desirable), or the willingness to work towards one
