New Pallet Trucks & Floor Cranes from SafetyLiftinGear

We've just added some new products to our extensive selection of equipment, so we thought that we'd tell you a bit more about them in today's blog.

5 Tonne Heavy Duty Pallet Truck

The first of our new items is this 5 tonne pallet truck, which has a fork dimension of 550mm x 1150mm. Designed to be both durable and user-friendly, this truck has a 3 position control handle for easy movement, as well as a set of tough polyurethane wheels and rollers. It has a minimum fork height of 90mm, and a maximum height of 190 mm. The pallet truck is available to hire or buy, and come with a 12 month warranty.

New Floor Cranes

In addition to the new pallet truck, we also have a new range of folding floor cranes, available in 0.5 tonne, 1 tonne, and 2 tonne options. These numbers denote their WLL, but keep in mind that the capacity reduces as the jib is extended. Each floor crane is lightweight and portable for your convenience, with folding legs for easy, compact storage, and the specifications for each one are as follows:

0.5 Tonne Crane

Max lift height (min jib extension) = 1800mm

Max lift height (max jib extension) = 2200mm

Lifting Capacity Range = 125kg - 0.5tonne

1 Tonne Crane

Max lift height (min jib extension) = 1860mm

Max lift height (max jib extension) = 2270mm

Lifting Capacity Range = 250kg - 1tonne

2 Tonne Crane

Max lift height (min jib extension) = 1880mm

Max lift height (max jib extension) = 2320mm

Lifting Capacity Range = 500kg - 2tonne

New Floor Cranes

In addition to the new pallet truck, we also have a new range of folding floor cranes, available in 0.5 tonne, 1 tonne, and 2 tonne options. Pros:

The up-front cost is cheaper than buying the product outright.
It can be great for one-off jobs, and saves you from investing in a product that you are unlikely to get much use from.

It can cost you more long-term if you're repeatedly having to hire the same equipment.
You may have to extend the rental period if the job goes on for longer than expected.

Saves you money in the long term if you will be using the equipment regularly.

You will need a stable, and long-term storage space to house your equipment.
The initial cost is more expensive, which means you could loose out if it's only for a short-term job.
You will need to maintain and keep track of each item yourself.

Another new week, another batch of new additions to the SafetyLiftinGear range! Today, we're pleased to announce the arrival of two new mortar tubs - each one has a maximum capacity of 250 litres, and they're ideal for transporting mortar and rubble around the construction site.

250ltr UNI Mortar Tub

This rigid, hard-wearing UNI tub can be lifted via forklift as well as by crane. Each tub is supplied with a one-piece surround frame as standard.

250ltr Crane Lift Mortar Tub

This mortar tub is specifically designed to be lifted using a crane (along with suitable lifting equipment, e.g. two-leg chain slings). Aside from this, however, it shares all of the UNI tub's features: a rigid design, outstanding durability, and a generous 250-litre capacity.
