1.6 tonne 2Leg Chainsling, Adjustable and c/w Latch Hooks

This chainsling is fitted with latch hooks with heavy duty spring safety catches. It also has adjustable grab hooks and a working load limit of 1.6 tonne. The temperature ranges from -40 to +200 degrees C without any reduction in the WLL.

Webbing Lifting Slings, Strops 2 Tonne

These polyester duplex webbing lifting slings are available in a variety of lengths, from 1mtr to 10mtr. They have a reinforced becket eye and a 60mm wide load bearing surface. They have the benefit of being light and durable, which makes them ideal for awkward loads. They also have a safety factor of 7:1.

Battery Powered Electric Chain Hoist, 250KG, Lift 3mtr to 10 mtr

This Battery Powered Chain Hoist is super lightweight, weighing only 6.7 KG. It has a lifting capacity of 250 KG, and a lifting speed of 4.5 metres per minute. The pendant control has an emergency stop function, and it also includes a friction clutch and an over load warning alarm, making it a thoroughly safety-conscious piece of equipment to use! Ergodyne Arsenal 5843 Tool Backpack Dual Compartment

When you are carrying tools around your site it is important that you can do it quickly and safely. If you are climbing up and down scaffolding or shafts all day then it is important to be able to keep both of your hands free to ensure your safety on a ladder, in such situations a classic tool storage bag is not ideal.

The Ergodyne Arsenal 5843 Tool Back Pack is designed in such a way that you can carry your tools around your site quickly and safely, and as it is a backpack design you will have both of your hands free so you can be sure you will be safe ascending and descending ladders.

Product Spotlight: Fall Arrest Retrieval and Tripod Kit

Our 15mtr fall arrest retrieval winch and tripod are one of our best-selling fall arrest kits here at SafetyLiftinGear.

Fall Arrest Kits are essential for people who are working in confined spaces, as they help people enter and exit the confined space safely and easily. Our G-force CRW200 Fall Arrest Retrieval Winch operates as a standard fall arrest block but has an integral winch which is easy to function, so should the user slip or fall when are in a confined space, they can be winched up or lowered to a safe place, without delay. With a length of 15 meters, deep confined spaces will not be a problem to reach.

Our G-Force TM9 Tripod is fully adjustable for a height between 130cm and 230cm, and has multiple attachment points for your fall arrest block. So entering or exiting extremely deep confined spaces is no problem. Our tripod is constructed out of aluminium making it extremely lightweight, so you can transport your tripod with you wherever you are working. The G-force TW9 also has additional chains around the bottom of the tripod so you can be confident that your tripod will not slip out of position.

Tips for the safe use of lifting equipment

We take safety very seriously here at safety lifting gear, especially when our heavy lifting equipment is involved, so here are a few tips for the safe use of our lifting equipment;

1. Ensure that the equipment that you are using is fit for the intended purpose.

This means that the equipment should be fitted with all the appropriate safety devices and they are all fully functioning and not over ridden. Here at safety lifting gear all of our equipment is fitted with the appropriate safety measures.

2. Equipment integrity

All of your heavy lifting equipment should be well maintained and subject to detailed examinations at least every 12 months. If your lifting equipment is used to lift people, for example, tripods, and 2 man baskets, these will need to be examined at least every 6 months. A visual examination of the equipment should be carried before every use. Furthermore, all heavy lifting equipment should be tested and certified before use, here at safety lifting gear all of our heavy lifting products are tested and certified before sale.

3. Lifting Loads.

The load that you are lifting should not exceed the Working Load Limit (WLL). This is the maximum weight that the equipment can lift safely. All the heavy lifting equipment WLL is clearly stated on our product pages. Remember, the lifting equipment is only at strong as it weakest parts. So if you are lifting a load with 4 legged chainslings that is 15 tonnes, you will need to use chainslings that can support up to 17 tonnes not 14 tonnes.

Finally, the stability of the loads that require lifting needs to be tested before lifting. If you are lifting heavy load ensure that the load is secured to your equipment correctly and securely, also If you are lifting a load with loose parts, make sure the loose parts are secure before lifting. If this check is not carried out a potentially fatal accident could occur.
