Going on Holiday? Take a Garden Cart!

People find a lot of uses for our garden carts in the summertime. We've already told you how handy they are for music festivals and days at the beach, but have you ever considered how useful a garden utility cart could be when you and your family go on holiday?

The above photos were sent to us by a SafetyLiftinGear customer who purchased one of our garden dump carts in preparation for their family's summer holiday. As you can see, the cart was put to good use over the course of the trip, proving ideal not only for lugging around coats and bags but also for carrying the kids around during long walks in the sunshine!

Of course, summer will soon be over for another year, but we find that our garden carts come in handy no matter what time of year it is. New G-Guard Load Arrestors

Another day, another exciting addition to our Lifting Equipment range! The SafetyLiftinGear website is now home to a selection of high-quality load arrestors - these robust products are designed to make sure that heavy loads don't fall when being lifted, even if the load's primary support system fails.

How do they work?

Each G-Guard fall arrestor consists of a retractable safety line. If a load drops suddenly whilst attached to this line, the load arrestor's brake will automatically kick in and prevent the load from falling. The brake's shock-absorbent properties minimise the force of the load arrestor and protect the load from damage.

Why should I use a load arrestor?

Back-up measures like these fall arrestors are important in case your lifting equipment suddenly fails while you are raising a heavy load. These safety lines will ensure that your load does not drop to the ground below (where it may cause damage, injury, or even worse).

How strong are SafetyLiftinGear's load arrestors?

We have three different G-Guard load arrestors to choose from, each with its own specifications and weight load limit:

1000kg Load Arrestor (available in 7m, 9m or 10m length)
500kg Load Arrestor (available in 6 different lengths, ranging from 7m to 24m)
300kg Load Arrestor (7 different lengths from 7m to 25m)

RUD VRS-F Starpoint Eyebolt

This sturdy eyebolt can be adjusted to the direction of pull using the StarKey locking device (included). Weight load limit ranges from 0.3 to 7 tonnes, depending on size (8 different sizes available).

RUD VLBG Swivel Load Ring

The third and final product in our newly-added RUD lifting point range is this swivel load ring, which comes in 8 different sizes from 8mm to 36mm. It turns 360 degrees, allowing you to align it to the pull direction when lifting; it can also be tilted, making it ideal for complex jobs that involve a lot of manoeuvring. Weight capacity ranges from 0.3 tonnes to 8 tonnes.
