If you’re familiar with the Armorgard range at SafetyLiftinGear.com, you’ll know what the rest of the industry is already well aware of – Armorgard are top dogs when it comes to secure storage both on-site and off.
Experts in their field, Armorgard have a clear mission to provide unrivalled security for your tools, equipment and accessories.
As such, it should come as no surprise that the guys and girls at Armorgard are constantly looking to improve their arsenal and provide you with secure storage that fits the task at hand.
Building on their already stellar list of site storage solutions at SafetyLiftinGear.com, the Armorgard range at SLG has now been extended to include the following new additions to provide you with reliable storage wherever you are, whatever the task may be.
First up is the SK2 SpillKart. While it may look more like a children’s porta-loo than a site storage box, this handy haulable doesn’t house any nasty surprises.
In fact, it’s specifically designed for the exact opposite! This useful kart is perfect for storing all your spill control products, allowing you to deal with a spill efficiently, safely and effectively.
With all your spill essentials in one place, it also comes with a 60-litre general purpose spill kit. What’s more, as this is an Armorgard product, it should come as no surprise that it also has a padlock-friendly latch to boot.
Featuring shatterproof rubber wheels, a rubber seal around the lid and made from high-density plastic, this is one sturdy spill storage box that won’t drive you potty!
If you’re working on-site and have high-price items on hand, it can be a neon sign for thieves – especially when it comes to items like copper fittings and cabling.
Keep your high-ticket items out of reach and under lock and key, with the FC6 FittingStor secure site cabinet, specifically designed to keep crooks at bay.
With robust wire mesh on all four sides, this sturdy storage cage is perfect for housing your expensive items in one safe yet mobile location.
The mesh casing makes it the contents visible for easy site use, yet the extreme durability and secure nature of this item makes it a veritable fortress for your tools and accessories.
Featuring heavy-duty castors and forklift pockets for easy transportation, this mobile storage unit also features three removable/galvanised shelves for storage flexibility.
Much like its meshy brother, the FC2 FittingStor cabinet is another fantastic on-site storage unit. Providing robust security and ample mobility features, it boasts keyed alike 5-lever deadlocks, heavy-duty doors with fixed hinges and a secluded anti-jemmy system.
While it is slightly smaller than the FC6 model, its ultra-tough exterior is completely opaque from the outside. This allows you to store power tools and smaller accessories within it both safely and discreetly, without providing thieves with a shop window.
Continuing the theme of copper protection, the PS3.0 PipeStor is perfect for storing lengths of piping in a safe and organised manner.
Often referred to as a “copper coffin”, this is one site storage container that will stop thieves dead in their tracks. With a single-end access point through a securely lockable door, there’s one way in and one way out.
From a functionality standpoint, it’s also offers the freedom of an extendable body, allowing you to increase the 1.5m length of the unit by bolting on additional 1.5m sections if need be.
Complete with heavy-duty castors, this mobile site storage box also features four distinct sections for a systematic approach to content arrangement.
Did you know that strimmers are one of the most commonly stolen power tools in the UK? It’s true! Keep your strimmers safe with this bit of cutting-edge tech from Armorgard.
As the name suggest, the SS2 StrimmerSafe Storage Rack is primarily designed for safe storage of strimmers – that much speaks for itself. However, it’s also ideal for storing similar items, such as chainsaws, hedge cutters and even leaf blowers.
Capable of storing up to five strimming items, the hard-wearing StrimmerSafe boasts twin 5-lever deadlocks for reliability. For additional security and functionality, the unit can also be bolted to a wall if preferred.
Featuring a hinged, heavy-duty welded lid, the StrimmerSafe is also fitted with a bunded drip tray at the base to contain any accidental spills of oil or fuel.
If you prefer your strimmers to be kept safely secured in a more conventional manner, the StrimmerSafe Vault may be the product for you.
Also specifically designed for strimmers and the like, this highly secure site storage box is built for secure durability, complete with anti-force construction and an innovative heavy-duty locking mechanism.
With keyed alike 5-lever deadlock, the box is virtually impenetrable without permission. Even the deadlocks are serial numbered for specific key replacement.
Inside, this site storage container also features double slots, allowing you to store one or two strimmers as needed. Even the lid itself is optimised for owner accessibility, made with hydraulic gas struts for easy opening when required.

When it comes to forklifts and forklift attachments, finding a reliable supplier that consistently performs with an ironclad reputation to match is a lot harder than you might expect.
Luckily, there are a few standout brands in the industry – one of the finest being Invicta Forks and Attachments.
Founded way back in 1920, Invicta has grown to become the largest manufacturer and stockist of mechanical forklift attachments in the UK.
With a century of experience behind them, it’s safe to say that the guys and gals at Invicta know a thing or two about forklifts – which is exactly why we stock their products here at SafetyLiftinGear.com!
From forklift jibs for excessively heavy loads to hook attachments for awkward, non-palleted goods, Invicta really do run the gamut when it comes to forklift accessories.
If you need an attachment to modify your forklift, chances are that Invicta will have the product for you and your task. If they don’t have it, it’s probably not worth having anyway!
To give you an idea of the variety on display in the Invicta range, here are a few of the bestselling Invicta products in the SLG warehouse:
Fork Extensions
If your forklift is lacking a bit of length in the fork department, we can help you get that little bit of extra reach with the aid of an Invicta forklift extension.
Available in a variety of sizes, the various high-quality forklift extensions do exactly what the name suggests and can easily allow you to handle loads that are simply too big for a standard fork.
Choose from the following options:
Lifting jibs can be extremely useful, allowing for flexible lifting of long, bulky loads. These jibs simply slide over the forks of your forklift and secure in place with a safety chain.
The swivel hook can then be attached to the item you need to lift at varying points on the jib, providing further lifting flexibility and freedom of movement.
Invicta also specialise in extending jibs too, providing additional length to the arm while also supplying a sturdy, reliable mount that won’t buckle under the pressure.
Also known as “man baskets”, these high-rise platforms provide flexible accessibility for off-the-ground working, much in the way a traditional cherry picker does.
Providing a safe, adjustable stand for elevated working, these easy-to-use access platforms make for an efficient solution to working at height. Simply attach to your forklift and away you go!
Available in single-person and dual use varieties, the forklift “man basket” access platforms offer the perfect solution to high-level access, complete with bright orange colouration for visibility.
The varying models also include numerous other safety features – such as handrails, self-draining non-slip floor and harness attachment rings – providing increased stability and traction even in adverse weather conditions.
In addition to the aforementioned items, Invicta also stock a variety of unconventional forklift attachments for a range of specific uses. Here’s a few of the handiest and dandiest from the Invicta collection.
Dispose of your waste materials with ease using these heavy-duty tipping skips, capable of handling up to 1500kg and compatible with most standard forklift trucks.
Whether you’re looking to clear up granular debris or metallic materials, Invicta’s selection of forklift sweepers and forklift magnets provide the perfect solution.
From steel-jawed drum lifters and sand bag carriers to functional drum tilters, we stock a variety of Invicta lifting attachments for non-standard objects as well.
So, there you have it – plenty of great reasons to explore the Invicta range today with forklift attachments that are head and shoulders above the rest. For more information, call 0117 9381 600 today or drop us an email using the link below.

If you’re on the hunt for a lifting winch, it won’t take you long to realise that there’s a surprisingly wide variety of winches out there on the market. As such, knowing which winch is which is well worth it!
To make things a little easier for you, we’ve outlined a few of the most important things to consider when buying a winch in this helpful, handy winch-buying guide.
IMPORTANT: Please note that these winches are designed for lifting goods, not people. If you need a winch that is suitable for lifting people, please contact our Sales team.
One of the most common conundrums faced by winch buyers is deciding between hand winches and electric winches. Both can be great options, but here are a couple of key factors to consider:
Hand winches are typically less expensive than their electric counterparts; however, electric winches are widely considered to be far more efficient.
Both options are capable of lifting a heavy load, but the electric option won’t tire and is likely to be able to handle a heavier lift. That being said, even the electric winch will need to be powered by something and can drain a car battery flat with extended use.
Most winches come equipped with a winch rating, declaring how much weight they can safely pull. However, to make matters slightly more confusing, these ratings don't always indicate exactly how much a winch can handle. The ratings are more of a guide to how much your winch can take under perfect conditions. There are lots of variables that can affect the performance of your winch, ranging from engine size to angle of the cable.
One of the most important influences on winch power is the number of layers on the winch line. As odd as it sounds, the more layers of cable wrapped around a winch, the less power it is capable of exerting.
For example, multiple layers of cable on one spool can lead to an overall power loss of up to 40%. That’s almost half of the optimal capacity, so keep that in mind if you’re planning on hauling some heavy loads.
Now that you’ve decided on exactly which winch you want, it’s also important to take into account how you plan to mount your winch for the task at hand. Vehicle winches are straightforward enough, but if you plan on using your winch in a factory/warehouse setting, you may have some decisions to make.
Floor- and wall-based mounts are popular options, providing a static and sturdy fixed base for lifting. The choice is yours, but wall-based winch mounts may allow for better use of space in your work area.
