Heavy lifting equipment

It's hard to overestimate the risks associated with heavy lifting. Attempting to lift weighty goods on your own can result in severe injury, and using improper or poor-quality equipment can lead to all kinds of damage, both to the items being lifted and to the people involved.

With this in mind, we scarcely need to explain the importance of high-calibre lifting equipment. We at SafetyLiftinGear sell hundreds of different items to assist with heavy lifting; no matter what you're trying to lift, we almost certainly stock an appropriate piece of equipment for the job, so please don't attempt it without the right gear.

Here are some examples of the equipment that we can supply for heavy lifting purposes:

PPE equipment

PPE stands for ‘Personal Protective Equipment’, and this term essentially refers to anything that you wear to protect yourself in hazardous conditions. PPE is usually provided by your employer if it is needed in the workplace, but it is always good to have an understanding of what PPE is available and when it is appropriate to use it. PPE can include anything from safety helmets to gloves and eye protection! Here are some examples from our own PPE equipment section:

Hard hat

Hardhats

Perhaps the most common form of PPE, hardhats are worn by workers in all areas of the construction industry. Many sites operate a ‘no hat, no job’ policy. Take a look at our range of hard hats by clicking the above button.

Dust mask

Dust Masks & Respirators

Many jobs expose workers to dangerous fumes and/or airborne debris that should not be breathed in. Our PPE range includes a wide variety of dust masks, respirators, and other items that protect against these hazards.

Ear defenders

Ear Defenders

If you’ve ever worked with – or even been around – a pneumatic drill, you’ll know how painfully loud they can be. When working with loud machinery, it’s essential to wear appropriate ear protection.

Hi-viz jacket

Hi-Viz Clothing

There are all kinds of working conditions that require high-visibility clothing, including roads, railways, airports, and so forth.

This is just a small sample of what you’ll find in our PPE section; as previously mentioned, this term covers just about anything you wear to improve your personal safety, and so there are dozens of different items for all kinds of industries. When working at great heights, it is not only vitally important to secure your own safety, but to consider the safety of others who may be around or below you also. If you were to drop any tools from a height they could cause serious harm to anyone below, but of course there is a way to ensure that doesn't happen! Our professional, durable and strong range of Tool Lanyards can prevent you dropping your tools, and thus minimising the likelihood of a serious injury occurring to anyone below you.

Tool Safety Lanyard Poster: £2.99

Unfortunately, falling tools is a hazard often not considered by those working at height - because naturally, their height safety is the first thing on their minds. A wrench or a spanner dropped from great height could cause property damage and injury at the very least - so this is an imperative consideration that simply must be made to honour height safety whilst working. Our tool lanyards will stop any tools from falling, and we have a variety of tool lanyard types to meet your personal comfort. We have tool lanyards which attach to your wrist or belt, as well as elasticated and retractable tool lanyards.

If you work at height, a tool lanyard should be essential, so make sure you pick yours up today to ensure the safety of yourself as well as those around you.
